Can You Get a YETI® Engraved After Buying It?

Yes. You can have many YETI® bottles, tumblers, mugs and Colster® can coolers engraved after purchasing them.

You do not necessarily need to buy another product simply because your existing YETI® was not originally personalised. A professional BYO engraving service can add a name, business logo, photograph, message or custom design to a suitable product you already own.

What Does BYO YETI® Engraving Mean?

BYO means “bring your own.”

Instead of purchasing a new YETI® as part of the order, you supply the product and pay for the engraving service. Depending on your location, the YETI® can be sent to the engraver or delivered through an available local drop-off arrangement.

This option is ideal when:

  • You already own your preferred colour.
  • You have a discontinued or limited-edition YETI®.
  • You received the product as a gift.
  • Your workplace supplied the product.
  • You want to add your name to avoid mix-ups.
  • You want to turn an older YETI® into a personalised gift.
  • You have a sentimental product you want to make unique.

Can a Used YETI® Be Engraved?

A used YETI® can often be engraved, provided the engraving area is suitable.

Before sending it, inspect the surface for:

  • Deep scratches
  • Dents
  • Flaking or damaged coating
  • Existing engraving
  • Stickers or adhesive
  • Heavy staining
  • Surface contamination

Existing damage will not necessarily prevent engraving, but it can affect the appearance of the finished design.

Clean and dry the product thoroughly before sending it. Remove accessories that are not needed, unless instructed otherwise.

Yes. A business can purchase YETI® drinkware separately and have the company logo added afterwards.

  • Individual names need to be added.
  • Existing stock needs to be branded.
  • A project or safety milestone is being recognised.

How Does the BYO Process Work?

1. Choose the BYO service

Select the BYO product option that most closely matches your YETI®.

2. Create your design

Add text, select a font, upload artwork or create a design using the online customiser.

3. Complete your order

Review the design, select the available engraving placement and complete checkout.

4. Send or deliver the product

Follow the instructions supplied after ordering. Package the product carefully to protect it during transport.

5. Artwork is reviewed

The uploaded file is checked before production. Adjustments may be made to backgrounds, contrast or small details where required.

6. The YETI® is engraved and returned

The design is permanently laser engraved, and the completed item is prepared for return.

Is Engraving Permanent?

Laser engraving is designed to create a permanent mark.

On most colour-coated YETI® products, the laser removes the external finish and reveals the stainless steel beneath. On stainless steel products, the mark will generally appear dark grey or black.

Because the design is engraved rather than applied as a sticker, it will not peel away or wash off during normal use.

Can I Engrave Both Sides?

Single-sided and double-sided options may be available depending on the product selected.

Double-sided engraving is useful when you want:

  • A name on one side and a logo on the other
  • Personal artwork opposite the YETI® branding
  • A business logo and employee name
  • Two different messages
  • A larger design spread across separate areas

What If I Do Not Already Own a YETI®?

Customers who do not have a suitable product can select from our new personalised YETI® range.
